Belle Isle is state managed land under the Michigan DNR rather than city parkland, so flying there needs a state permit instead of city permission.
Detroit's Recreation Department asks operators to get advance permission from the Director of Recreation before flying over city parks, which is why work is staged from the client's own property.
Section 8-15-34(d)(8) of Detroit's Property Maintenance Code requires every building five stories or taller to have all exterior walls and roof mounted structures inspected by a competent person at intervals not exceeding five years.
