Where we work in Mississippi

  • Jackson

State capital with the tallest office towers in the metro and over 2.5 million square feet of downtown office space, giving it the state's densest concentration of mid-rise commercial glass and facade area.

  • Gulfport

Largest city on the Gulf Coast with a deepwater port and coastal humidity and salt air that accelerate grime and mildew buildup on commercial exteriors.

  • Biloxi

Home to the state's tallest buildings, several beachfront casino resort towers, which face constant salt-air exposure on their facades.

  • Hattiesburg

Regional hub for south Mississippi with a growing medical and university commercial district needing routine exterior maintenance.

  • Southaven

Largest suburb in the DeSoto County stretch of the Memphis metro, with a fast-growing logistics and retail commercial base just south of Tennessee.

Regulatory notes

How we operate in Mississippi

These are the rules that shape a job here; we plan around them at the survey, not on site.

  • Miss. Code Ann. 61-21-9 bars a political subdivision from enacting or enforcing an ordinance regulating the ownership, operation, design, airspace, altitude, flight paths, or equipment of a drone, leaving cities only narrow control over takeoff and landing on their own property.

  • The Mississippi Unmanned Aircraft Systems Protection Act of 2021 (Miss. Code Ann. 97-47-1 to 97-47-9) makes it a crime to knowingly use a drone to surveil, collect data from or record critical infrastructure such as power, water, pipeline or telecom facilities without written consent.

  • Miss. Code Ann. 97-29-61, the state's voyeurism statute, makes it a felony to use a drone to view or record a person in a place where they have a reasonable expectation of privacy, with penalties up to five years.

  • Mississippi imposes no state-level drone registration or pilot licensing beyond the FAA's Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate for commercial operators.

  • Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport is surrounded by Class C controlled airspace, so Part 107 operators need LAANC authorization or a waiver to fly within its rings over the capital metro.

  • The Mississippi State Board of Contractors licenses construction, remodeling and roofing above set dollar thresholds ($50,000 generally, $10,000 for some specialties) but does not list pressure washing, soft washing or exterior cleaning as a licensed specialty.

  • Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality guidance allows pavement wash water as a non-stormwater discharge only where no toxic or hazardous spills have occurred; otherwise wash water is routed to the sanitary sewer with prior approval from the Office of Pollution Control.

Building stock

Jackson's tallest building, Regions Plaza, stands 318 feet (97 meters), just under the 100-meter high-rise threshold, with five more towers between 245 and 255 feet downtown.

About 2.5 percent of Mississippi homes belong to a homeowners association, one of the lower HOA participation rates in the country.

Downtown Jackson holds more than 2.5 million square feet of office space and over 20,000 downtown employees.

What to expect in Mississippi: two documented projects

We have not yet published a documented project in Mississippi. Until we do, the two jobs below are the reference for scope, duration and price. Both were delivered in Florida, where we operate as Vista Drone Cleaning, with the same equipment, method, insurance and price sheet that crews bring to Mississippi.

Reference project: Belmont Village

Belmont Village Senior Living · Coral Gables, FL, a 130,000+ sq ft luxury senior living high-rise. Delivered in Florida, where we operate as Vista Drone Cleaning.

Belmont Village needed its entire exterior - facade, windows and floor surfaces - cleaned without closing a single entrance or moving a resident. Lifts, scaffolding, swing stages and rope access were all off the table.
