Where we work in Indiana

  • Indianapolis

The metro is a major center for distribution, logistics and life sciences, giving it a large base of office and warehouse exteriors that need periodic washing.

  • Fort Wayne

Manufacturing is the largest sector of the metro economy at 8.1 billion dollars of GDP, and its industrial and warehouse building stock carries steady facade maintenance needs.

  • South Bend

The University of Notre Dame campus and area hospital systems add institutional building stock alongside downtown commercial buildings that require exterior upkeep.

  • Evansville

The metro has a concentrated industrial and energy base, including large manufacturing plants and power generating stations, with exteriors that see heavy soiling.

Regulatory notes

How we operate in Indiana

These are the rules that shape a job here; we plan around them at the survey, not on site.

  • Indiana has not enacted a law preempting local governments from adopting their own drone ordinances, so municipal rules can vary across the state.

  • Indiana Code creates an unlawful photography and surveillance offense for using a drone to photograph or surveil private property without consent, a Class A misdemeanor.

  • State law creates a public safety remote aerial interference offense for using a drone to interfere with public safety operations, a Class A misdemeanor with felony enhancement for repeat offenses.

  • Indiana Department of Natural Resources rules ban drone takeoff, landing or operation on DNR property such as state parks and recreation areas without a license.

  • Fort Wayne: Fort Wayne city ordinance requires drone operators to notify the city before flying in the Downtown Aerial District or within 500 yards of a public event; no equivalent rule was found for Indianapolis.

  • Indianapolis International Airport sits inside Class C airspace. LAANC automated authorization is generally available for flights at or below 400 feet AGL in most Class C airspace, subject to facility map ceilings.

  • Indiana's Professional Licensing Agency does not list a licensing category for pressure washing, soft washing or exterior building cleaning among its regulated professions and trades.

What to expect in Indiana: two documented projects

We have not yet published a documented project in Indiana. Until we do, the two jobs below are the reference for scope, duration and price. Both were delivered in Florida, where we operate as Vista Drone Cleaning, with the same equipment, method, insurance and price sheet that crews bring to Indiana.

Documented project · Florida

Reference project: Belmont Village

Belmont Village Senior Living · Coral Gables, FL, a 130,000+ sq ft luxury senior living high-rise. Delivered in Florida, where we operate as Vista Drone Cleaning.

Belmont Village needed its entire exterior - facade, windows and floor surfaces - cleaned without closing a single entrance or moving a resident. Lifts, scaffolding, swing stages and rope access were all off the table.

Workspace Property Trust · Miramar, FL, a four-story Class A office building in Miramar Centre Corporate Park. Delivered in Florida, where we operate as Vista Drone Cleaning.

A prospective tenant walkthrough was booked for Thursday and the job was only confirmed on Monday afternoon. Lifts and scaffolding could not clean the building in the time available, and nothing could block the entrances or take over the parking lot.
