Where we work in Georgia

  • Atlanta

Fifth most high-rise buildings of any US city, with 125 buildings over 300 feet, giving the metro a dense concentration of commercial towers with exterior glass and facade area.

  • Savannah

Historic coastal city with high humidity and salt air that accelerates mildew and grime buildup on commercial building exteriors.

  • Augusta

Second largest city in Georgia with a growing medical and cyber-security commercial district requiring exterior building maintenance.

  • Columbus

Mid-size commercial hub on the Chattahoochee River with a mix of mid-rise office and industrial buildings.

Season and scheduling

Atlanta's freeze-free stretch runs roughly late March through mid-November, giving most of the year as a practical washing window with only a short winter gap.

Atlanta's average first freeze is mid-November, and the average last freeze is late March.

Water-based washing pauses in freezing weather, and recurring clients are booked at the start of the window.

Regulatory notes

How we operate in Georgia

These are the rules that shape a job here; we plan around them at the survey, not on site.

  • O.C.G.A. 6-1-4 (from HB 481, 2017) makes UAS regulation an exclusive state power, voiding local ordinances regulating drone testing or operation except those adopted on or before April 1, 2017.

  • The same statute lets a county or municipality restrict launching or intentionally landing a UAS from public property it owns or leases, but this carve-out expressly does not reach commercial Part 107 operations.

  • O.C.G.A. 16-11-62, Georgia's eavesdropping and surveillance statute, makes it a felony to use any device, including a drone-mounted camera, to observe or photograph a person in a private place out of public view without consent.

  • Atlanta: City of Atlanta parks policy bars launching or landing drones on park property such as Piedmont Park and Centennial Olympic Park without permission, though this is a ground rule and the statute's commercial carve-out limits its reach against Part 107 operators.

  • Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is surrounded by Class B airspace with a ceiling of 12,500 feet MSL covering most of metro Atlanta, and LAANC authorization is available there for Part 107 operators needing to fly in controlled airspace.

  • Georgia has no state contractor license specific to pressure washing or soft washing; operators generally need only a local county or city business license or occupational tax certificate.

  • City of Atlanta rules strictly prohibit discharging polluted water, including runoff carrying soap or contaminants, into any storm drain, catch basin, ditch, stream, or manhole, enforced through the city's Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination program.

Building stock

Atlanta has 98 buildings taller than 100 meters and 125 high-rise buildings over 300 feet, the fifth most of any US city.

About 33.1 percent of Georgia households pay HOA or condo dues, with a median monthly fee of 99 dollars.

What to expect in Georgia: two documented projects

We have not yet published a documented project in Georgia. Until we do, the two jobs below are the reference for scope, duration and price. Both were delivered in Florida, where we operate as Vista Drone Cleaning, with the same equipment, method, insurance and price sheet that crews bring to Georgia.

Documented project · Florida

Reference project: Belmont Village

Belmont Village Senior Living · Coral Gables, FL, a 130,000+ sq ft luxury senior living high-rise. Delivered in Florida, where we operate as Vista Drone Cleaning.

Belmont Village needed its entire exterior - facade, windows and floor surfaces - cleaned without closing a single entrance or moving a resident. Lifts, scaffolding, swing stages and rope access were all off the table.

Reference project: Miramar Centre II

Workspace Property Trust · Miramar, FL, a four-story Class A office building in Miramar Centre Corporate Park. Delivered in Florida, where we operate as Vista Drone Cleaning.

A prospective tenant walkthrough was booked for Thursday and the job was only confirmed on Monday afternoon. Lifts and scaffolding could not clean the building in the time available, and nothing could block the entrances or take over the parking lot.
